Time for a change, right? Yes.
Well, ya know something? I can't really complain much. Change is always coming, and it's time I did something to accommodate it.Pluh.com is going to change dramatically. I originally formed the website in a weird way back in 1997, not necessarily called "Pluh.com," but with a similar concept containing a great vision: "Create entertainment that is dumb and funny that many people will enjoy."
The thing is, I've accomplished this! It's called Psychostick. When Psychostick took off, all my energy creating entertainment went towards that, and not into Pluh.com. The editors (Gawkman, Shafty, Murph, Psinyde, el duderino) all did tons of stuff that helped keep things afloat. They all contributed greatly - el duderino is the only really active editor - and I'll always be grateful for it. These guys are ALL creative and because of this, they're very busy with their lives and other projects.
So with all that "dumb energy" going into Psychostick, there wasn't much left for Pluh. Gawkman (Joshy) and myself are full on with Psychostick. I've tried out more staff for Pluh to attempt to get more content flowing, but it wasn't working out well. Most didn't seem to quite "get it," and those that did were, just like the current editors, very busy with their own projects.
What to do? I look at Pluh as it is now, and I feel like the potential hasn't been fully tapped. The name itself jumps out in my opinion. It's weird. Yahoo is a weird name. Google is a weird name. Pluh is a weird name. Massive potential. What to do with it? I can't just let it die. It needs something new. Something fresh. Something fun, entertaining, addictive, user driven; all that stuff.
So now what? Well... just last night I came up with an idea that I think will create all those things I mentioned above. I can't divulge my plans right now; things are still in the conceptual phase. Rest assured that things are going to change dramatically. The vision I have for Pluh.com is to compete, in my own special way, with the big sites out there. I also see how it can completely set itself apart from everyone else too.
No, it's not going to be another blog site.
NO, it's not going to be another social network site.
No, it's not going to be what it is now.
It will be user driven (as opposed to editor driven like it is now).
It will be fun and addictive.
It will be what Pluh.com truly deserves to be.
So for those who have remained faithful, THANK YOU. And don't worry, we're not going anywhere. I'm going to leave things up as they are right now. I'll drop in and post something as much as I can, and I hope el duderino can do the same.
Over the next few months I'm going to develop my vision for Pluh.com. Don't forget to check back on me, I expect it.

Nope. Wish I could provide one. Things are still being conceptualized. Call it preproduction I guess. Shut up!
