Jimmy at the Playground One lazy afternoon in the fall, little Jimmy was bored until he got an idea. He called up his friend Billy and said, "Do you want to go to the park and play?" "Sure," Billy said, and twenty minutes later they left for the park. When they arrived it was already getting dark. They played on the merry-go-round and slides until it got really dark. Billy's mom had wanted him home earlier than Jimmy's mom, so Billy finally said that he had to go. Jimmy didn't want to go home although his mother said she didn't want him out there by himself. Jimmy started to play on the monkey bars and began to think, "This isn't much fun by myself. I think I'll go home soon." While Jimmy was thinking this, he lost his grip and fell. He landed on the ground right on a sharp rocked that severed his spine and paralyzed him. Little Jimmy was in a dilly of a pickle. Jimmy tried to call for help, but no one came. He stayed there the whole night, and it got really chilly. It was less than ten degrees the next day and the next, so no one came to the playground. Eventually little Jimmy died of a combination of dehydration and hypothermia. When he was found, he was nothing more than a dried up Jimmy popsicle. THE END
