Of course, their system looks nice and robust, but who knows if I'll actually use it. Seems to me that simplicity is what's key nowadays with websites, especially content based ones. The greater populace is moving away from forums and towards silliness like Twitter or Facebook. Forums are more for customer support for a product of some kind, not socializing. That's what SOCIAL NETWORKING is for! Pluh.com's newest forum member is named fucking "robertsjulia" for crying out loud. Spammer, anyone?

People are tired of joining community after community. They want to be entertained quickly, check their facebook page, then sip on their latte cappucino coffee cake beans. MAYBE if they're feeling saucy, they'll post something. Sites like textsfromlastnight is a great example.

Upon examining this very good trend of interwebnet simplicity, I'm considering removing the forums from Pluh.com entirely. I mean, there's probably 10 active people in there actually using the forums, and the drive space + processing speed != condusive to my server stuff. Sorry guys. I suppose at this point I'll need to actually create a custom registration page, create a way for current members to reset their passwords (I don't know vB's encryption for passwords, sorry). Wait, this is all stuff you just don't care about.

Anyway, the important thing is that Pluh.com will never, ever die. It'll change for the better, but won't actually end. One important factor is that I want it to become something I, and the staff, personally enjoy doing.

Want to salvage the forums? Respond to this new posting with some sort of reason why I should, and if it's not lame or just plain absurd, I might consider it. For now, the forums are on the verge of becoming old yeller'd. BLAT.
